Sublattice Alloy Design for Application of Solute Clustering in High-strength Steels

Recent advances in high-strength steels for automobile applications or surface-hardened steels have attracted interest on controlling the nanoscale dispersion of alloy carbides/nitrides in ferrite.   Particularly, B1-type carbide/nitride precipitation and  stable alloy clustering can be understood as the coupled ordering and compositional phase separation of interstitial alloying elements "i" and substitutional alloying elements "s".  In this presentation, the behaviour of i–s clustering and alloy carbide/nitride precipitation is introduced  d on nanoscale characterization, theoretical calculations,   and evaluations of mechanical properties. It is shown that strong i–s   attractive interaction is responsible for  stable i–s clustering, which clearly indicates "hidden" nanoscale inhomogeneity in solid solutions. Further, we discuss a concept termed interstitial sublattice engineering in bulk and at interphase boundary for designing high strength steels.

主講人簡介：

Tadashi Furuhara，教授，博士生導(dǎo)師，日本東北大學(xué)材料研究所所長、教授。先后獲日本京都大學(xué)碩士學(xué)位，美國卡內(nèi)基梅隆大學(xué)博士學(xué)位。曾任日本京都大學(xué)助理教授和副教授，2005年晉升為日本東北大學(xué)教授。主要研究領(lǐng)域包括鋼鐵和有色金屬的物理冶金學(xué)，如相變/析出、形變/再結(jié)晶、基于熱機(jī)械/熱化學(xué)方法的微觀組織控制。已在國際學(xué)術(shù)刊物上發(fā)表了256篇研究論文，91篇國際會(huì)議論文，62篇綜述文章，合著了16本書，論文引用次數(shù)13256次，H-因子 60，獲獎(jiǎng)26次/個(gè)，包括英國礦業(yè)協(xié)會(huì) Vandium Award(2022),國際相變學(xué)會(huì)Hillert-Cahn  Award（2022）,日本金屬與材料學(xué)會(huì)Excellent microscopy award （2021），日本金屬材料研究所谷川哈里斯獎(jiǎng)（2015年）、日本鈦學(xué)會(huì)技術(shù)獎(jiǎng)（2006年）、日本鋼鐵研究所西山紀(jì)念獎(jiǎng)（2000年）等多項(xiàng)獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)。

   Tadashi   Furuhara教授積極為冶金領(lǐng)域各學(xué)術(shù)團(tuán)體作出貢獻(xiàn)，曾是日本金屬學(xué)會(huì)副會(huì)長和日本鐵鋼協(xié)會(huì)副會(huì)長，且一直是礦物、金屬和材料學(xué)會(huì)（TMS）相變委員會(huì)和鋼鐵委員會(huì)成員，目前擔(dān)任Acta Materialia和 a Materialia編輯。國際相變委員會(huì)、鋼鐵協(xié)會(huì)、美國TMS委員，日本東北大學(xué)金屬材料研究所所長，日本鋼鐵協(xié)會(huì)會(huì)長。
